Our 2025 Carving Quilt was unveiled during the annual Quilt Show, held at the Blennerhassett Museum in Parkersburg, WV. The carving quilt consists of 42 carved squares within a walnut frame. Each year, our Geppetto Woodcarvers volunteer their skills to handcarve the individual squares.
A Quilt Block Description that details the personal significance of each square is present below. For 2025, the theme of the entire quilt show was “Critters”.
The 2025 Geppetto Woodcarvers’ Quilt is being displayed in various places around the region throughout 2026. Follows, a newspaper article about the March 2026 placement at a local bank.
The 2024 Carving Quilt was on display at multiple sites in Parkersburg during April.
The Above photo is from the 2024 Blennerhassett Museum Quilt Show. For the 2nd year, our club participated by carving blocks to represent the fabric blocks in a traditional quilt. The following table represents the individual quilt blocks with the theme of “Patriotism”, showing the carver and description.
