The club’s Eagle Head Walking Stick project provides handcarved Eagle Head sticks to local veterans in honor of their service. Several more of our members have taken basswood blocks and patterns to carve heads. Other members continue to provide sticks to complete these projects.

Some of our carvers scour the woods for interesting and unique branches to become walking sticks. Others carve basswood into individual eagles. And, finally, some of our carvers double as decorative painters. There is a place for everyone’s skills in this ongoing project.
